Meet Lisa – The Artist Behind Peanut and Stitch

Hi! I'm Lisa, the founder and artist behind Peanut and Stitch. 

Peanut and Stitch is a love letter to pop culture from Manchester to the Moon.

Growing up in Manchester, I was surrounded by the electric pulse of the local music scene, a place where legends are born. The atmosphere, the sound, the togetherness, a community that left its mark on me. Music is at the heart of everything I do!

I've been interested in fashion and design for as long as I can remember. Although life took me down a different path, the pull toward creativity never faded. I had always wanted to learn how to sew, and, with time on my hands during lockdown, I finally bought a sewing machine and taught myself free-motion embroidery.  This technique allows you to move the fabric freely and basically draw with thread.

As a result of the years of practicing and getting lost in the process, embracing lyrics, stories, and sketchbooks, late-night stitching sessions turned into Peanut and Stitch. 

Each original design transforms into a print or product that bottles a feeling, a memory, or a moment. My art is inspired by Britpop, acid house, pop culture, movies, and the energy of growing up in a place that shaped a scene.
